Little Thief

Alexa is already starting to steal toys - poor Jake. Brad must have taught her that trick when I wasn't looking.

Happy Days!

Alexa and I are in Utah right now and get to be here for 3 weeks. We're so happy to be out of that darn AZ heat! We've sure enjoyed being able to go outside. And, we love being with family!!

We had a girl (and kids) party at Steph's house in Pleasant Grove. We got to go swimming. The water was a little chilly for Alexa and me, but everyone else thought it was great. The kids sure had fun!

Alexa's Mug Shots

I had to take some pictures of Alexa for her passport. She did NOT cooperate! Good thing they're not too picky on baby pictures.

Oh, and Brad found this great sight where you can make your own passport photos for free! Then, you can upload them to Walmart or wherever and print them for a quarter. Way better than the $15 dollars they charge at some places. The website is epassportphoto.com, so if you plan to travel, I'd check it out.

Uncle Kyle

We got to have Kyle come play with us last weekend. We were so excited to have a summer visitor! He was so cute with Alexa, and she seemed to like him pretty well too. She doesn't look very happy in this picture though. She had to sit through a 3 hour D-Backs game and was VERY tired.

We had lots of fun with Uncle Kyle and are sad that he's gone again.

EDIT/UPDATE: Could you tell that Cassi wrote this post?? What gave it away? That she didn't tell you who won and by how much? If that didn't give it away, you don't deserve to know that the Dbacks beat the Dodgers 3-2 to regain the top spot in the (sorry) NL West. It was a great game. Also noteworthy is the fact that the Dbacks are 4-0 when Alexa is in attendance.

You Learn Something New Each Day

Hmm....maybe this is why people tell you not to let babies play with cords.

The Deceiving Watermelon

We got this ginormous watermelon the other day from some friends. I LOVE watermelon and was so excited to cut it open and eat it. So, yesterday I took it to the table and sliced it down the middle. To my dismay about a half a gallon of water came gushing out. It ended up all over the table to start, then onto the chair, and then made its way to the carpet. I couldn't do anything but stand there in awe. I had never seen anything like it before. I knew that if I didn't laugh about it I would cry.

So, I got the camera out and took some pictures of what the inside of the watermelon looked like.

I was soooo disappointed!

By the way, it was no fun to clean up either.

Monsoon in Mesa

I had to post this video I took a few minutes ago. The rain has been coming down hard for the past little while. It's funny how we got so excited to see the rain. You don't get to see rain here very often, let alone hard rain like this:

The little puddle you saw in the video turned into this after only 15 minutes:

So, I know most of you are probably thinking, "Oh, rain....nice...now show us something interesting." But, I think I can safely say that those of you who live here in AZ were probably just as excited to see it as I was.

It was awesome!!

The 4th

We went to L.A. over the weekend to see Brad's brother's family. We went to the beach, had lots of fun playing with Grace, Hazel, and Justice, and got to get out of the heat for a couple days. It was definitely a camera weekend, except that ..... I forgot the camera!!! So this is the extent of the post. Sorry Alexa for not giving you any memories of your first time at the beach.
